15th August - The Independence day of India is also known as "?????????? ????" (swatantrata diwas) in Hindi. It is obviously observed on 15 August every year in india.

History

India was ruled by British East India Company since 17th century, and got established themselves as the dominant force by the 18th century. And then in 19th Century people of India started emerging against the british rule and started non-violent movements of non-cooperation and civil disobedience as said by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (AKA Mahatma Gandhi).
